Clarification on Early On Exit Reasons
Reporting documents regarding Early On Exit reasons do NOT require an IEP prior to exiting a child as “Age 3, NOT Part B eligible”. This issue came to light at a recent MICIS training for Early On data entry. The reporting documents, found at www.ideadata.org state that for both exiting reasons (the child was “Not eligible for Part B, exit with referrals to other programs”, and “Not eligible for Part B, exit with no referrals”) the child reached age 3, was evaluated and determined not eligible for Part B. The revised document with complete definitions can be found in the Download Center, under Early On MI-CIS Entry Resources.
